The second Web Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 2024 needed to attract greater local and domestic interest. Speaking with Brazilian colleagues, they highlighted that Brazilian audiences are extremely proud of their country, and like to see it receive international recognition.

Using this, I wrote a short piece of collateral, the Brazil Spotlight, in close collaboration with the design team, shining a light on the best of Brazil at our events.

The piece was used as a standalone ad, email and social campaign, and significantly increased Brazil leads for the sales team. It was so successful that I soon replicated it for all the other countries in which Web Summit hosts events (The Canada Spotlight is included below). The country spotlights were some of the most successful content marketing pieces undertaken by Web Summit in the past four years.
